CAN VISUAL MEDIA IMPROVE PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITIES OF ELEMENTARY STUDENTS ON GEOMETRY?

The aims of this study were (1) to reveal the students 'ability solve problems related area flat shape that was taught after using Problem Based Learning model supported by visual media, (2) students' ability Direct Instruction (3) whether there is an effect media on a shape. This uses research design Nonequivalent Control Group Design with Quasi Experiment techniques or quasi-experimental quantitative approach. subjects fifth grade SDN Senurus. data analysis used in One Sample T Test and Independent Test. conclusions results are, Senurus learning calculations obtained significant value 0.000 level 5% which means significance <0.05 student's average score 86.24, calculation 1,000 1,000> 0.05 75.00, class V proven showing so
